Introduction

In association with The Viewing Room Art Gallery in Pretoria, the CAP Institute for Contemporary Art Practice once again presents an exceptional opportunity for artists to engage in a four-day workshop within a highly respected professional gallery, under the mentorship of Professor Elfriede Dreyer. The Composite workshop of four days will culminate in a month-long professional exhibition at The Viewing Room Gallery, presented alongside a solo exhibition of the same title by Elfriede.

Firmly rooted in contemporary art practice, the project offers both established and emerging artists invaluable insight into the workings of a professional gallery environment, while providing high-level exposure for their work. Spanning nearly three months, the programme includes a preparatory phase, the intensive workshop, and the public exhibition period.
